The month of March is full of events in Rome this year. Not only the key days of Carnival and the peak celebrations for Italy’s 150th anniversary but also two big names of the international scene will join the Spring party!
Today Momix, one of the world’s most famous contemporary dance groups, starts his Roman season at Teatro Olimpico. This always creative and original dance company will present a new show about nature. ”Botanica”, between illusion and reality, follows the rhythms of seasons, but also the evolution of the world and the passing of a day. Flowers bloom, go to seed and die; vegetable, animal and mineral – all in human form – combine and metamorphose in spectacular moving tableaux creating a total dance theatre environment. Until March 22. Tickets can be bought at the Theatre’s tickets window, here or online at Vivaticket and Happyticket.
On March 13 James Blunt will play at PalaLottomatica, the beautiful sport complex designed by one of Italy’s best 20th century architects, Pier Luigi Nervi (see our story on 2 exhibitions about him here in Rome). The English singer will present his new album “Some Kind of Trouble” and his repertoire, a mix of acoustic-tinged pop, rock and folk. Tickets on sale at TicketOne and MyWayTicket
