All Roads Lead to Rome? Even Contemporary Art’s On May 6-8!

76 galleries from around the world, the most important names of the international art scene, well known and renowned for the quality of their artistic works, visits to the exhibitions in the morning and special attractions during afternoons and evenings. The fourth edition of ROMA – The Road to Contemporary Art, will be open to the public from May 6 to the 8th in Macro Testaccio, a former slaughterhouse that still preserves its original use structure.

More than 50,000 visitors attended last year’s edition also thanks to the extraordinary openings of the museums MAXXI and MACRO, the inauguration of new private foundations, and the participation of Rome-based Academies and Foreign Cultural Institutes.

Rome is living through a sort of Contemporary Renaissance and is drawing more and more international attention as the focus of a lively cultural and artistic bustle that involves state institutions, private galleries and a continuously growing number of sophisticated and informed private collectors.

Two daily guided free visits in the search of hidden gems and emerging talents will be organized for visitors upon reservations. And performances will also please your eyes every day.

The Kaleidoscope Arena will hosts a mini-festival devoted to three key cities of contemporary art: Los Angeles, Paris and Rome. And each of them will the subject of panels, performances and projections.

Finally, 17 galleries throughout Rome will offer a free Saturday brunch to the Fair visitors from noon.
