40 archaelogical sites, normally unavailable to the public, to explore for 10 days of underground adventure in Rome. This is “Roma Nascosta” (Hidden Rome) the third edition of visits dedicated to the subterranean landmarks of the Eternal City.

Archaeologists and scholars will guide you into this mysterious and hidden world that for the occasion will be enlivened by live music and thematic workshops.

You’ll have a unique opportunity to admire rarely-seen vaults, tombs, temples, tunnels and much more.

These are some of the most notable monuments that you can visit.

The Virgin aqueduct, still functioning as the Trevi fountain water source.

The pagan temple (Mitreo) of the Circus Maximimum.

The huge Seven Hall water butt.

The subway connecting the Forum of Augustus with the Trajan’s Forum.

The San Paolo alla Regola block, uttermost example of Rome’s urban evolution.

The Plinio Villa in Castel Fusano, part of the group of villas on Rome’s sea coast.
