The best events of February 2013 in Rome: our picks

Winter is coming to an end in February. A low-season time except for Valentine Day and Carnival. In the last two years it was by far Rome’s coldest month. In 2012 it snowed twice here… We don’t want to scare you, actually Rome under the snow is unique!

These are some of the most interesting events. February is the shortest month of the year but the list is very long!

The key happening of the month is Carnival from February 2 to the 12th.

Sport addicts know it is the time when some of the world’s best rugby players come to Rome for the Six Nations Tournament [1]. 2013 will feature a game between Italy and France on the 3rd, while Wales will play here on the 23rd. Read our post for further details.

The best music events seem to be the Jackson Brothers’ concert on the 11th [6] and the contemporary music festival Controtempo at Villa Medici on February 9-15. [7]
